Floyd Rose 2 and 3

The Floyd Rose II and III were generally lower cost models put on import Kramer guitars in the mid-1980s, and there’s not a whole lot known about them.  There also seems to be two versions of the Floyd Rose II.

To the left is the string-through version of the Floyd Rose II.  On the right is the locking version which resembles the typical Schaller licensed Floyd Rose.  Both versions seem to be made by Schaller and have replaceable knife edges, something notable in the Schaller licensed design.

Not a lot is known about the Floyd Rose III, but it’s believed to have been put on Kramer guitar models in the 1980s, but this string-through version resembles the Fernandes FRT-6 in design.
